The Company

Alicia Arrington is glad to be back this year. An original member of the Antelope Valley Ballet, Alicia was an original cast member of A Dancer’s Life. She has also danced as "Snowflakes" and "Flowers" in The Nutcracker. A teacher at Extensions, look for Alicia in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs as "the Deer".

Amy Brouwer dances at Extensions and has been a member of the Antelope Valley Ballet for 3 years. Highlights of Amy’s career with AVB include roles in On Earth, Sports, Ballet McFerrin, Hansel & Gretel, and The Nutcracker. Amy is excited to be dancing as "Rapunzel" in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs.

Lauren Harper is a 15 year old dancer from Palmdale who trains at Dance Magic. She has danced with the Antelope Valley Ballet for the past 3 years. Lauren has appeared in Hansel & Gretel, Sports, and On Earth, but her most noted roles have been in The Nutcracker as "Mice" "Soldier", and "Chinese Tea". Look for her in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs as "a Shadow" and as "a Lady-In-Waiting".

Alyssa Honeycutt dances as "Red Riding Hood" in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. She has also danced the pas de deux from Ballet McFerrin, and "Chinese", "Snowflakes" and "Flowers" from The Nutcracker. Alyssa trains at Extensions and is looking forward to attending UC Irvine as a dance major in the fall.

Jessica Laney has mastered not only soccer, but ballet as well. This 3 year member of the Antelope Valley Ballet attended the American Ballet Theatre summer program last summer. A resident of Lancaster, Jessica has danced as the "Orange Girl" in All You Need Is...., the "doll" in The Nutcracker, and can be seen as the "Queen Bee" in this spring’s production of Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Jessica studies dance at Extensions and Dance Magic.

Jesse Marks is 16 years old, studies at Extensions and is an aspiring professional dancer. Antelope Valley audiences have enjoyed Jesse’s performances as "Fritz", "Chinese", "Soldier Doll" and "the Nutcracker" in The Nutcracker, as well as in musical theatre productions such as Brigadoon, West Side Story, and Grease. Last summer Jesse attended the San Francisco Ballet summer program on scholarship and has accepted a scholarship to attend the Houston Ballet Academy this summer.

Kimberly Otto dances at Dance Magic and has been a member of the Antelope Valley Ballet for 3 years. Kim has been featured in Ballet McFerrin, The Nutcracker, Hansel & Gretel, On Earth, Sports, and now as "a Mockingbird" in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Kim plans to attend College, continue dancing and become a special education teacher.

Christopher Peddecord will attend the Houston Ballet Academy this summer on full scholarship. Chris dances at Extensions and has been a member of the Antelope Valley Ballet for 2 years. He can not only be seen this spring as "he Deer" in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, but also in Grease.

Kelly Peterson lives in Lancaster and takes ballet at Dance Magic, Extensions, and Dancin in Acton. She has danced with the Antelope Valley Ballet for 3 years and aspires to be a professional ballet dancer. Kelly will be dancing as "the Cardinal" and as "Sleeping Beauty" in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs.

Marissa Reisinger has been a member of the Antelope Valley Ballet for the past 3 years. Antelope Valley audiences witnessed the highlight of this Lancaster dancer’s career last Christmas as the "Arabian Lead" in The Nutcracker. Marissa can be seen this spring in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs as "a Deer". Among Marissa’s aspirations is to attend the prestigious Julliard School.

Amanda Roth is 15 years old, lives in Quartz Hill and dances at Dance Magic and Extensions. She has been a member of the Antelope Valley Ballet for 4 years.  Her most noted roles include "Clara" in The Nutcracker, "Gretel" in Hansel & Gretel, "the Pink Girl" in All You Need Is....., Not Angry Anymore, and as "the Bluebird" in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Amanda has attended the Houston Ballet Academy and the American Ballet Theatre summer programs.

Candice Rhea is in her first year with the Antelope Valley Ballet and has already made a valuable contribution with her performances as "Chinese Tea", "Snowflakes", and "Flowers" in The Nutcracker this past year. Candice currently dances and teaches at Dance Magic.

Desiree Withers is most noted for her many roles in The Nutcracker including "The Mouse King", "Mirliton", "Snowflakes", and "Spanish", but has also danced as "the Red Girl" in Mary Margaret Holt’s All You Need Is....., and as "the Referee" in Sports. A member of the company for 3 years, this dancer from Palmdale has been invited back for a second year to the Alvin Ailey summer program in New York City.

Adrie Young is from Acton and has been a member of the Antelope Valley Ballet for 3 years. She has danced as "Clara" in The Nutcracker and is dancing the roles of "the Canary" and "Cinderella" this spring in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Adrie takes classes at Extensions and Dancin in Acton and has attended both the AVB and American Ballet Theatre summer programs.
