The Antelope Valley Ballet is an exciting performing
company established in 1998 as a non-profit organization to
be a positive force in the cultural climate of the Antelope
Valley. Antelope Valley Ballet presents a spring performance
in addition to its annual production of The Nutcracker at the Lancaster
Performing Arts Center. Upcoming
Performances The Antelope Valley Ballet is please to annouce auditions for its production of The Nutcracker. We are looking for dancers of all ages and abilities. AUDITION DATE: Saturday September 20, 2008 Audition Location: Extensions Performing Arts Academy (661) 722-6203 Audition Times by Age: 2pm - 2:45pm - 5 & 6 year olds2:30pm - 3:15pm - 7& 8 year olds 3pm - 3:45pm - 9, 10 & 11 year olds 3:30pm - 4:15pm - Beginners 12 & up Adult dancers - we need men and women! 4pm - 5:30pm - advanced dancers age 12 & up ~ pointe shoes if appropriate 5:30:pm - 6:30pm - Call Backs *ALL DANCERS should be prepared to attend call backs should they be called. **CURRENT COMPANY MEMBERS: If you will not be dancing in this production, you must call (818) 554-0769 by 2pm on Friday, September 19, 2008. ALL CURRENT COMPANY MEMBERS are required to attend call backs. Please arrive dressed and ready to dance. Audition Attire: Dancers should wear a solid color leotard and solid color tights (preferably pink for girls and black for boys) and ballet slippers. Boys may wear biker shorts or sweat pants and a solid color T-shirt. Jazz shoes are acceptable if ballet slippers are not available. All dancers should have their hair secured away from their face. Audition Fee: There is an audition fee of $10.00 per auditioner. Cash only please. Notification of Casting: All auditioners will be notified of casting decisions by mail as soon as possible. Rehearsals will be on weekends beginning Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008. Performance Dates and Times: Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 at 8pm; Sunday Dec. 14, 2008 at 2pm. 1 School performance at 11am Thursday Dec. 11, 2008, and 2 on Friday Dec. 12, 2008 at 9am & 11am.
